We are so thankful for people who don’t store up their treasures for heaven, but share them with other families! Because of generous donors, we were able to bless a family with a Van, a full tank of gas, and $100 to go towards oil changes! Your donations always pave the way for Love One to bless others!
We talk about fostering, adopting and volunteering a lot, but GOING and LOVING on orphans, who may never be adopted across the world, is JUST as important!! So thankful for these Love One volunteers who gave up time, energy, and part of their summer to share Jesus with these precious little ones. They need to hear about HIM too! Mike is an active volunteer with Love One and we are thankful for him and the other Love One volunteers that give up their time to help others!
This year’s Foster Family Pool party in Richmond Hill was a great success! We had loads of fun under the sun while enjoying a cool swim in one of our favorite community pools! It was great to meet and see all of the families at the pool!
We had an Amazing Retreat!! Our theme this year was Hope Anchors The Soul! We are so thankful to the 10 Moms who joined us at Tybee Island! It was a great time of respite, relaxation, and fellowship!! This year we ended our retreat with a Tybee Island Service Project which helped clean up the beach. We can’t wait for the next one in 2019!!
November is National Adoption Month!! We have several activities going on all month that will support Love One so check out our FB page frequently for updates! Our newest supporter, Body Bronzing By Becca, has offered to donate a percentage of their sales to Love One for every Body Bronzer purchased in the month of November! We also will be collecting NEW Pajamas for Foster Care starting today until November 30th. You can drop off your NEW pajamas for Foster Care at Body Bronzing located on 7370 Hodgson Memorial Drive in Savannah. We are collecting for kids ages 0-18.
On October 21st we had some AMAZING volunteers and caseworkers show up!! We had some great conversations about fostering and adopting and feel sure that we will see some new foster care and adoptive homes open up. A BIG thank you to the Statesboro Compassion Christian Church campus for allowing us to host this event. A big thank you to Heart Gallery of GA for showcasing these beautiful children and thank you to all the families who came out to check out the event to get more info!! #HeartGalleryofGA
