Some moments stay with you long after the day is over.

On June 12, Love One Ministry had the privilege of helping sponsor and serve at the Georgia Kids Belong Photo Shoot at Grayson Stadium. Alongside Georgia Kids Belong, Bananas Foster, generous community partners, photographers, and volunteers, we helped create a day centered around one simple but powerful message:

Every child deserves to be seen.

Twenty children in foster care participated in this special event, each one carrying their own story, their own personality, their own hopes for the future.

The photographs captured smiles, laughter, confidence, and joy. But what happened beyond the camera lens was equally meaningful.

Throughout the day, children had opportunities to play, connect, laugh, and simply enjoy being kids. Volunteers offered encouragement. New friendships were formed. Therapy dogs brought comfort and calm. Smoothies brought excitement and smiles. For a few hours, the focus wasn’t on case files, court dates, uncertainty, or waiting…it was on celebrating each child for exactly who they are.

Events like these matter because every child deserves more than a profile or a photograph. They deserve to be known. They deserve to be valued. They deserve to be reminded that their story matters and that there are people advocating for them every step of the way.

This year we are honored to welcome Whitney Lam Gilliard as our keynote speaker.

Whitney’s story as a former youth in foster care and her work now advocating for young adults aging out of care is powerful, meaningful, and deeply hopeful.

At Love One we often talk about the importance of a village.

And sometimes building that village begins with simply saying yes.

We had the most beautiful time celebrating Lunar New Year together at Richmond Hill First Baptist Church! 🎊

There is something so special about gathering around a shared table: different stories, different backgrounds, all woven together by connection, laughter, and the simple joy of being together. This night felt like that. Full. Warm. Meaningful.

We are incredibly grateful for every family who came, every volunteer who served, and every moment that was shared. From the conversations that lingered a little longer, to the children laughing and playing, to the intentional way culture and celebration were honored… it was a reminder of what community can truly look like.

Thank you for showing up. Thank you for being part of something that reflects the heart of God: joy, connection, and love. 💛

We are so thankful to share that our first NTDC (National Training and Development Curriculum) course of 2026 is officially complete! 🎉

Because of this, four new homes are now stepping forward with NTDC certification… four homes ready to open their doors, their tables, and their hearts. What a gift. What a calling! Thank you to our Foster Panel that was there to answer questions about foster care and adoption and for your knowledge on how to best walk this journey.

Our next NTDC class will begin in mid-May or June, so if this has been on your heart, we would love for you to prayerfully consider joining us.

Every child deserves to feel celebrated, especially in moments that feel uncertain or unfamiliar.

Our Birthday Boxes are created with this in mind. These boxes are available for foster families to have on hand for unexpected placements, so that if a child enters your home near their birthday, you’re able to celebrate them right away, without added stress or scrambling.

This year, we are incredibly honored to welcome our keynote speaker, Whitney Lam Gilliard, a former youth in foster care who has walked this journey firsthand. Whitney will share her powerful story of resilience, healing, and purpose, and how she went on to become the founder and CEO of Gilliard & Company, a nonprofit devoted to ending foster care homelessness and equipping youth with the tools they need to step confidently into independence. Her story is not just one of survival, it’s one of transformation. And it is a beautiful reminder of what can happen when someone is rooted in love.

As the year comes to a close, there is a sacred rhythm that invites reflection: on the joys, the challenges, the answered prayers, and the ways God has been faithful even when we could not see the path clearly. At Love One Ministry, we are humbled and grateful for the ways each of you has partnered with us throughout 2025, through your prayers, your time, your resources, and your unwavering support. You are the hands and feet of Christ in the lives of foster, adoptive, and kinship families. You remind children that they are known, loved, and cherished. You remind parents that they are not alone in the demanding, beautiful work of caregiving.

As we look toward 2026, we are filled with hope. There are children waiting for safe homes, families in need of support, and hearts longing to say “yes” to foster care, adoption, or service. And there is a place for each of us to step in. God calls us to give, to go, to love, to support and to do it with joy, knowing that every act, however small, matters in His Kingdom.

End of Year Giving

Your generosity at the close of the year is a powerful expression of faith and love. Every dollar given becomes a tangible blessing:

• Supporting foster families with immediate needs, whether it’s a bed, clothing, school supplies, or emergency care.
• Providing children in care with the simple joys that make a home feel safe and warm.
• Offering respite and mentoring for caregivers who tirelessly serve and advocate for children.
• Funding Parent Support Groups, training, and family events that strengthen homes and hearts.
• Equipping families to walk confidently in fostering and adopting, ready to answer God’s call.

There is an ancient truth that remains evergreen: we cannot do this alone. God invites us into a community of purpose, where each act of giving creates ripples of hope and healing. As 2 Corinthians 9:7 reminds us:

“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

This is an invitation to give cheerfully, to give generously, and to give knowing that your gift transforms lives, restores hope, and reflects the heart of Christ Himself.

The 2026 Thirty’s Club

This year, we would love to invite you to join our monthly Thirty’s Club, a special initiative where you may commit to giving $30 a month for an entire year.

Being part of the Thirty’s Club is more than giving financially. It is stepping into a story of purpose, of grace, and of partnership in the Kingdom of God. It is saying, “I see you, I believe in you, I am walking with you,” to families who often feel stretched beyond measure. And as we do this together, God’s love flows through us in ways that are bigger than any one person, any one family, or any one event.

Why Your Partnership Matters

At Love One Ministry, our hearts beat for one purpose: to support, encourage, and walk alongside foster and adoptive families in every step of their journey. Every family, every child, every caregiver, and every heart touched is part of God’s story of redemption, love, and hope. We believe that ministry is not just a series of events: it is a consistent presence, a steady reminder that no one is alone in this work. Our mission is to serve as a bridge, a lifeline, and a family for those who so often navigate complex and challenging paths.

Over the past year, Love One Ministry has joyfully poured into our community in numerous ways, always guided by God’s call to love, serve, and provide.

Events and Celebrations

We know the power of joy. From Friendsgiving to Cookies with Santa, our events create moments where children and families can pause, celebrate, and feel fully known. These gatherings are not only about fun—they are sacred opportunities for connection, laughter, and memory making. They remind children that they belong, and they remind caregivers that they are seen and celebrated.

Parent Support Groups (PSG)

Parenting children from foster care or navigating adoption comes with unique challenges: trauma, attachment issues, behavioral needs, and emotional complexities. Our PSGs provide a safe, judgment-free space for parents and caregivers to learn, share, and grow. These gatherings, whether in-person or virtual, provide encouragement, practical strategies, and the gentle reminder that God’s wisdom is available for every challenge. Psalm 68:6 reminds us:
“God sets the lonely in families.”

Our goal is to make that promise tangible for every caregiver who joins us.

NTDC Training for Foster and Adoptive Families

Equipping families with the tools they need is essential. Our NTDC classes provide ten foundational sessions required for those preparing to foster or adopt. These classes empower families to navigate the complexities of fostering and adoption with confidence, compassion, and faith. They are designed not only to teach skills but also to inspire hearts to walk boldly in God’s calling.

Care Closet

Sometimes, the smallest gestures make the biggest difference. Our Care Closet offers essential items, from clothing and toiletries to diapers and cribs to furniture and comfort items, ensuring that children in care feel loved, safe, and valued. Every item represents a family or individual who said, “I see you. I care. You are not alone.”

Meals and Respite Care

We understand the exhaustion that comes with caregiving. Providing meals and respite care allows families to take a breath, rest, and refuel physically, emotionally, and spiritually. These acts of service are a reflection of Philippians 2:4:
“Let each of you look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.”
By serving families in tangible ways, we create space for them to continue loving well, sustaining hope, and thriving.

Connection to Resources and DFAC Support

Navigating foster care and adoption often requires guidance and connection to trusted resources. Love One Ministry is committed to connecting families to support networks, counseling, educational opportunities, and agencies like DFAC (Division of Family and Children Services). By serving as a bridge between families and resources, we help remove barriers, lighten burdens, and remind families that they do not walk these paths alone.

All of these efforts, events, training, support groups, care closet, meals, respite, and resource connection, are woven together with prayer, intentionality, and love. Each action reflects our belief that every child deserves a safe, nurturing, and joyful home, and every caregiver deserves encouragement, equipping, and community. We cannot do this work alone, and we are continually grateful for every donor, volunteer, prayer warrior, and supporter who makes this possible.

We cannot do this alone. God has created a body of believers to support one another, and you are an essential part of this work. Every prayer whispered, every dollar given, every act of service, every note of encouragement, none of it is wasted. Each ripple becomes part of the ocean of hope that sustains families and children in our care.

As we close this year, may you hear the gratitude in our hearts: thank you. Thank you for standing with us. Thank you for saying “yes” to God’s call to love the vulnerable. Thank you for trusting Him and partnering with us to make His Kingdom tangible here on earth.

And as we look toward the new year, may 2026 be filled with even more stories of hope, healing, and joy, stories that you, through your generosity, are helping to write.

End of Year Letters

As the year closes, we also want to honor every donor who has partnered with Love One Ministry in 2025. End of year donor letters will be sent out in January, providing a summary of your gifts and the incredible impact they have made. These letters are more than documentation: they are a celebration of your faithfulness and generosity. Each contribution, prayer, and act of service has touched lives in ways that are immeasurable, and these letters will reflect the tangible ways God has moved through your support.

“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” — Luke 6:38

Orphan Sunday is coming up in November. Prayers for hearts to move and for more families to consider adopting or becoming a foster family, or to provide respite care for a season.
