How to Make the Best of the Teenage Years
How to stay objective as a parent and maintain a good relationship with your teens
Parenting teenagers can be one of the most rewarding yet challenging phases of family life. As parents, we walk the fine line of encouraging our teens’ independence while also maintaining an open, supportive relationship. But how do we stay objective when emotions run high, and how do we continue to nurture our connection with our children during this time of growth and change?
We are thrilled to welcome Kylee Rogers as the trainer for this Parent Support Group session. Kylee has years of experience working with foster and adoptive families, and she will share practical insights on how to maintain a positive and effective relationship with your teen. We will also discuss the biblical perspective on raising children in the Lord and fostering open communication, trust, and respect.
As Proverbs 22:6 says, “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” The teenage years are a time of laying the groundwork for adulthood, and with God’s guidance, we can support our teens in becoming the individuals He has called them to be.
Come welcome back our trainer, Kylee Rogers, as she leads this month’s Parent Support Group.
