This impactful event, benefiting Love One Ministry and the foster children and orphans they support, promises an evening of inspiration and support.

About Hope & Homes: Join us for a memorable night featuring a dinner and silent auction, all in the spirit of raising awareness and funds for Love One Ministry. Our special guest speaker is Todd Tilghman, winner of The Voice, Pastor, and adoptive father, who will share his heartwarming journey as well as perform some of his favorite songs for us.

Hope for the Journey Conference 2024

Children navigating the journey of adoption and foster care often carry unique needs. The Hope for the Journey Conference is your gateway to a wealth of knowledge, understanding, and practical tools to help support these children, their parents, and families in your community.

Training Focus: Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI)

TBRI equips participants with essential skills to connect, correct, and empower children from challenging backgrounds, including those who have experienced trauma. This training is invaluable for counselors, teachers, ministry leaders, foster & adoptive parents, and anyone who works with children.

Conference Details:

As we go into the season of thankfulness, we want to take a moment to thank all of our community partners. These are local businesses and churches who go over and beyond to help us complete our mission of making homes for the fatherless by making life easier through blessing our work with Foster Care and Adoption. We are grateful for our Century Club donors and Thirty’s Club donors who give monthly so that we can raise awareness, train families with Parent Support Group, offer IMPACT certification classes —-which help open more foster and adoptive homes, provide TBRI training, and help us provide quarterly meals to foster and adoptive families.

If you feel led to donate, volunteer, pray, serve, etc., we would love to have you join us in our mission. Donations are accepted via PayPal, Venmo or check. All donations are tax deductible. We are blessed to be able to give and support those who create homes for foster children. If you have given to Love One this year, we cannot thank you enough for your kindness and support. We will be sending out donation letters at the end of December.

Married couples joined us for an evening of refreshment and learning in our Thriving Marriage Workshop. It was hosted at the beautiful lodge at Dorchester Shooting Preserve. Attendees heard from relationship coach, Beth Romans, while enjoying a delicious meal from Smoking Pig BBQ and some amazing cupcakes from Simply Sweet Bakery. Good times and lots of laughs were had by all and we even had a few giveaways. Attendees went home with swag bags full of goodies to enhance their marriage. One very special couple won a two night stay at the Preserve. Every marriage is deserving of time. What a lovely evening learning all about how to make your marriage more fruitful! We hope to see you at our next one.

IMPACT Training

We had a fantastic time celebrating our 200th adoption with 28 of our families and the Bryan County Community at the Pavilion at JF Gregory Park! We played games, enjoyed Kona Ice and had a ball at this special event! Lots of fun was had by all. What a wonderful way to commemorate that 200 children now have forever homes!

A big thank you to our wonderful volunteers and vendors who helped make this day so memorable especially Laurie Schultz Photography, Pop Squad Balloons, Kona Ice of Savannah and Richmond Hill Fun Game Rentals.

IMPACT Training

Love One was able to be a part of a DFCS Appreciation Day in May and shower caseworkers with cupcakes & ice cream. We were able to encourage caseworkers and bless several of them with gift cards through random drawings. It was such a fun event! DFCS workers were also given time to recharge through a fun painting activity. Working in Foster Care, Child Protective Services, & Adoption can be stressful! We are so thankful that we got to celebrate our local caseworkers! We pray that you stay committed, inspired, and fulfilled in the work that you do! We appreciate you!

Love One completely relies on donors, volunteers, and grants. Without any of these components, we could not do the work we are doing for the fatherless. If you donate each month, quarterly, or once a year, know your sacrifice does not go unnoticed. If you volunteer all the time with us or once or twice a year, the gift of your time does not go unseen and we know the value of having willing people with happy hearts and smiles who want to serve. That is priceless! Life is busy and expensive. Thank you for sharing your gifts, talents, and treasures with us! All of the events above, require funding and volunteers.
